Detectives in Luton are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Wardown Park yesterday (12th January).

The 19 year old victim was walking alone through the park at around 12.15 in the afternoon. He was approached by three Asian men who punched him causing him to fall to the ground. They demanded his mobile phone, however the victim stated he had no property on him and he was then kicked about his head and face.

The main offender is described as an Asian man in his early twenties. He was around 5’ 11” tall with a clean shaven face and dark hair; he was wearing a hooded red top and spoke with a local accent.

The two other men are only described as also of Asian appearance in their early twenties.

Detective Constable Joanna Bosson investigating said, β€œThe victim is clearly very shaken by the incident but fortunately only suffered superficial cuts and grazes to his face. We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or recalls seeing the offenders in the park.”
