Wedding ring stolen

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an armed robbery in Luton on Wednesday 2 March.

The robbery occurred between 7.15pm and 7.25pm in an alley way between Belsize Road and Kirkwood Road.

The 20 year old victim was approached by two men, who asked him for money, the man told them he did not have any and showed them his empty pockets.  The offenders continued to threaten him at knifepoint and forced him into handing over his wedding ring. 

The victim handed over his white gold wedding ring and the offenders fled on foot towards Belsize Avenue.

Both of the offenders are described as black males and aged about 20 years, one was wearing a blue hooded top with a ‘Nike’ logo and dark jogging bottoms and the second was wearing a black hooded top and jeans with black trainers.

PC Matthew Shepherd, of the Luton Robbery Squad said: “I am keen to trace anyone who thinks they saw the men in the Belsize Road or Kirkwood Road area at around 7.15pm or who has been offered the ring for sale”
