Luton Talent at Carnival

Luton International Carnival is to showcase local musical talent on the Young Performers Stage in Telford Way Car Park. We spoke to some of the artists performing this year and found out why they are proud of Luton town and carnival

 

Igniter Performer   

22-year-old Igniter is an urban music singer who originally got involved with carnival by helping with childrens workshops.  Igniter says its fun to perform in his hometown particularly as friends and family are around to support you.

Young Shox Performer


22-year-old Young Shox is an urban underground artist local to Luton. He has been performing as a musician for the last 7 years and has been involved with carnival since he was 16. He says performing in carnival is a big step and hopes it will inspire other performers to go for their ambitions.

Tayong Performer


20-year-old Tayong T.Y.N is a rapper, MC, dancer and singer from Luton. He has been performing since he was six years old and found inspiration in Michael Jackson. Tayong jumped at the chance of performing in his hometown carnival which he says is great fun and people visit from all over the country.

Kamaris performer


23-year-old Kamari is a hip hop singer from Luton. She has been making music since she was 8 years old when she used to freestyle verses of her mum cds. She came into her own over the last few years as a solo artist. Kamari says Luton has some unique sounds to offer which will be showcased at carnival.
