Luton Carnival band 'Rampage' perform every year in their home town's Carnival. They also tour around the country. We spoke to one young member of the group who plays steel pans and found out more about the band and what they will be doing on Carnival day in Luton.

Rampage is one of Europe’s leading Carnival bands, it was established locally in 1988 by Colin Spalding, over the years the group has won numerous awards ‘best band on the road.’

Steel Panning

17-year-old Reece Isles has been ‘steel panning’ since he was 7 years old, he says Luton Carnival means a lot to him because ‘it’s a representation of everything Luton is, its multi cultural, diverse with everyone coming together under one roof to help each other and support each other and put on schemes that bring the community together.’

Reece also told Heart what to expect from the Rampage Carnival band ‘we will be performing on the road, exciting the crowd on stage and after that we will be enjoying ourselves.’
