Cyclists Injured After Being Hit In Helmingham

Two men in their 40s have suffered injuries, one of them serious, after they were knocked off their bikes in Helmingham near Stowmarket.

They collided with a 4x4 vehicle on the B1077 just before 1pm yesterday (30 June).

One man suffered a serious chest injury and was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital, and the second man suffered a leg fracture and went by land to Ipswich Hospital.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Essex Air Ambulance were sent to help.
