"Distressed" Woman Seen Running Near A12

Police are trying to trace a woman who was seen near the A12 at Blythburgh in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were called by a concerned motorist at around 1.50am who told them he was on the southbound carriageway at Blythburgh and had seen a "distressed" woman near the road.

She was described as a partially clothed and was running along a field next to the A12.

After the first call, Suffolk Police received 3 more calls from motorists.

They took the initial witness back to the scene and searched the area with a search dog, but there was no sign of the woman.

Police are very concerned for this woman’s welfare and need to be assured that she is safe and well and has not come to any harm.
 
Police would like to hear from the woman, anyone who knows of her whereabouts or anyone who has any information about this incident.
