Gorleston: Boy Seriously Injured

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 10-year-old boy suffered a serious head injury following a collision in Gorleston

It happened on Christchurch Road at about 1.45pm on Saturday (7 March) near to the junction of St John's Avenue when the cyclist and Kia Rio were involved in a collision.

Emergency services attended the scene and the boy, who is from the local area, was taken to the James Paget University Hospital.

The road was closed while police carried out initial enquiries and later re-opened at 6pm.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact PC Mark Pannell at Acle Roads Policing on 101.
