Two men charged with murdering Hemsby woman Hannah Witheridge in Thailand have pleaded not guilty.

The Burmese migrants made their pleas in a court in the island of Samui earlier today, according to their lawyer.

The body of 23 year-old Hannah was found along with that of fellow British traveller David Miller on the island of Koh Tao on September 15.

Win Zaw Htun and Zaw Lin, who are both 21, face several charges including murder and rape and the first hearing of their trial is scheduled for February.

Thai Police were say the pair have confessed but those statements have been retracted. The men say the confessions were extracted through beatings and threats, a claim police deny.

The trial's first hearing is scheduled for February 25.
