Henley: Driver Disappears After Crash

It's feared a driver is seriously injured after disappearing following a crash in a Suffolk village overnight.

A member of the public reported seeing a car hit a tree in Ashbocking Road in Henley just before 10.30 last night (Thursday 5 March).

When officers arrived at the scene they found an overturned Citroen Xsara Picasso, but there was no sign of the driver.

It's believed to have been 24-year-old Nicholas Rayner from the Street, Bredfield.

Paramedics have concerns that he may be seriously injured and an extensive search of the area has been undertaken, including the use of the  police helicopter to locate him.

Nicholas is described as white, around 6'4" tall with short, dark hair and wears glasses.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or for anyone who has seen Nicholas or who knows where he may be to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
