Incredible Support Shown For Firebombed Shop

Amazing support has been shown for an Eastern European grocery store in Norwich that was firebombed.

Fire crews were called to The Village Shop in Magdalen Street just before 3am yesterday (Friday 8th).

Two people were in a flat attached to the premises at the time but weren't hurt. The fire has caused a small amount of damage to stock and the front window has also been broken.

A funding page was set up on Friday morning to try to raise £500 - but by 2pm it had already raised £7000.

As at 10am this morning (Saturday 9th) - it had topped £25,000.

Police say the motivation for the arson attack is still not clear and are investigating what happened.
