Ipswich: Man Charged Over Sexual Assault

A 63-year-old man has been charged after a woman was sexually assaulted in her Ipswich home.

The incident allegedly happened in Ransome Road in Ipswich on Friday night, 13 February.
A man reportedly entered the home of an older woman around 7.55pm and assaulted her before she screamed and he fled.
Robert Jennings, 63, of Shackleton Road in Ipswich was arrested on, Monday 16 February, and he was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where he was interviewed by officers.
He has now been charged with sexual assault and burglary and is being detained in custody overnight pending an appearance at Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning, Wednesday 18 February.
