Ipswich: Men Arrested After Gun Spotted

Two men have been arrested after someone was spotted in Ipswich with a gun.

At approximately 10.40am on Sunday, police received a call from a member of the public to report a sighting of a man with what appeared to be a gun.

He was seen to enter a premises in Duke Street.

Officers attended the scene and, as part of the initial police response, a police helicopter was deployed.

As a precaution, roads in the immediate area were closed.

At approximately 11.05am, two men came out of the premises and were arrested by police.

They have been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre where they will be questioned.

The roads were re-opened before midday.
