Martlesham: Man Arrested After Teen Sexually Assaulted
A man arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a teenage girl near Suffolk Police Headquarters in Martlesham has been released on bail.
Police were contacted at around 5pm on Friday 6 March with a report that the girl had been assaulted whilst walking in an area off Portal Avenue in Martlesham.
It allegedly happened at around 2am on Friday 6 March, when the victim was walking with a man whom had engaged in conversation with her.
They walked along the path in the wooded area next to the road and he sexually assaulted her.
A 39-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on Sunday evening. He has been released on bail until Friday 13 March pending further enquiries.
