Police are appealing for information after a school in North Walsham was targeted by vandals.

Five windows were smashed on a mobile classroom on the grounds of North Walsham Junior School between 5.30pm on Wednesday 29 October and 9am on Thursday 30 October. Damage was also caused to a goal post and fencing and turf was ripped up.

Extensive damage was also caused to a mobile classroom at North Walsham Infant School and Nursery between 8pm and 10pm on Friday 31 October. Plastic benches were also thrown into a pond and turf ripped up.

Inspector Kersty Brooks, Local Policing Commander for North Walsham, said: "The vandals who carried out these senseless acts clearly have no regard for the community. Any incident of criminal damage is upsetting for the victim; however, for these schools to be targeted in a matter of days is all the more concerning. Both schools are now counting the cost of these incidents and I would urge anyone with information to contact police.”
