Teenager Charged After 15 Year Old Stabbed In Ipswich

A teenage boy's been charged after a 15 year old was stabbed in the back in Ipswich.

Police were called to a car park near St Catherine's Court in the Stoke Park area at around 1:20pm on Wednesday (16 July). They had been called to reports that a 15 year old had been stabbed once in the back.

On Thursday (17 July) police arrested a 15 year old boy from Ipswich on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He was taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

The teenager has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, committing burglary and theft and possessing a knife in a public place.  He will appear at Ipswich Magistrates' Court this morning.

The teenager is not being named for legal reasons.
