Third River Crossing Gets £1 Million Of Funding

10 August 2016, 15:18

After last week's devastating fire in Great Yarmouth, the town can now welcome some promising news.

£1 million of government funding has been approved to take the Third River Crossing project forward.

It means bosses can now start the detailed work needed over the next two years to take it to a stage where the government would be able to confirm if they are willing to fund the build.

The bridge - which is hoping start being built in 2021 - would make a direct link into the town from the south - providing a route between the trunk road network, the port and South Denes Enterprise Zone sites.
