Woman Dies 4 Months After Crash

Officers want anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward.

Officers from Norfolk Constabulary’s Serious Collision Investigating Team are appealing for witnesses to come forward who saw a collision in Swaffham just before Christmas.

It happened on Friday 18 December at around 12.30pm near to Iceland in the market place in Swaffham. 

A minor collision between a lorry and an elderly lady occurred and she was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure to be checked for injuries.

The female was discharged from the hospital after the incident but returned at a later date and sadly died on Sunday 3 April 2016. 

The pathologist in the case has determined that the cause of death relates to injuries sustained during the collision, however, a full inquest will take place at a later date.
