Whether you’re a city cyclist, an avid rider, a pro cycling fan or looking for a great family day out, the Ipswich Cycling Weekend has something for everyone. Coming to the historic Ipswich waterfront on 30 and 31 August 2014, it’s a summer celebration of cycling with high-quality events to watch, enter and enjoy.

Sky Ride Ipswich is a free big bike event taking place on traffic-free streets on Sunday 31 August to finish the cycling weekend off on a high. People of all ages and abilities in Ipswich will be able to ride safely together and take in some of the town’s most popular attractions and iconic landmarks.
The route is open between 11am and 3 pm, passing some of the town’s most iconic sights. A free route map is available to download at goskyride.com/ipswichskyride.
There’s loads of free things to do and try out, including the brand new ‘Tricks & Tunes’ area, plus the friendly Bike Cafe, they’re rolling out a real festival atmosphere.– look out for more details over the next week at goskyride.com

Ipswich Cycling Weekend
On Saturday, take on the challenge of the Crafted Classique Sportive and ride either 100 miles or 100 kilometres through the picturesque Suffolk countryside. To reward your efforts, there will even be a free delicious hog roast and refreshing local beer awaiting you on the waterfront upon your return.
The following day, spectators can cheer on Britain’s top elite cyclists at the Ipswich Coastal Grand Prix as pro teams battle-it-out over a 200km course. Whilst riding the traffic-free Sky Ride route and enjoying the festivities and entertainment.
