Martin's Pedal Power For The J's Hospice

Pedal For The J's

What could be better than spending a springtime Sunday cycling through Essex villages, enjoying the early May sunshine, absorbing the beauty of the countryside and perhaps enjoying a short stop for lunch or a drink at one of the village pubs or cafes en route?

Why not join Martin from Heart Breakfast and take part in Pedal for The J’s - now in its sixth year - a successful charity bike ride that draws people from across Essex with excellent reviews for its organisation and variety of routes.

Taking place on Sunday 3rd May, it promises to be a great day out for experienced cyclists and novices alike. The family-friendly ride takes in some of Essex’s most beautiful scenery with a choice of three distances; 15, 35 or 50 miles.  All routes will start and finish at Admirals Park in Chelmsford with the 15 mile route taking in Mashbury, Pleshey and Great Waltham and the longer ones travelling west towards Hatfield Heath, returning through the Easters then all three rides join up at Pleshey.

This year, riders will be getting plenty of support from the Heart Angels – and Martin from Heart Breakfast will be joining the ride although it was a surprise for the infamous motorcyclist on whether he'll be pedalling for 15, 35 or 50 miles! Listen below to find out:

This year’s event is proudly sponsored by Beaulieu, the new residential development by Countryside and L&Q in Chelmsford.

The J’s Hospice provides hospice care in the home for young adults throughout Essex so you'll be supporting a fantastic cause!

Register to take part here or call 01245 475474. Registration starts at just £14 (£7 for under 16s) and includes refreshments; there is no minimum sponsorship but try to raise as much as you can!
