Alresford: Woman Dies In Village Car Crash

A 65-year-old woman's died following a crash in north-east Essex.

Police say she appears to have lost control of the car she was driving and landed in a group of trees on the B1027 in Alresford at around 4:30pm yesterday (Sunday December 2nd).

She died at the scene.

The 65-year-old woman from the Clacton area was the only occupant in the vehicle.

She was certified dead at the scene.

A section of the road was closed for a number of hours so detectives could find the cause of the crash.
