Two PCSOs had some extra duties to take on when a woman went into labour in Waltham Abbey.

The woman was at home on Sunday the 9th of January when she went into labour.

PCSOs Shelley Cole and Stacey Ayres heard her screams and called an ambulance.

Minutes after the paramedic arrived - baby Pola was born.

Father of the baby, David Tracz said: “I was rushing back from work from London to find they had all done a perfect job.”

Paramedic Kelly Hussick-Townsend said: “The PCSOs were genuinely incredible, they were extremely calm and I wouldn’t have been able to do it as smoothly, without them.”

PCSO Stacey Ayres said: “We all feel privileged to have witnessed this baby’s entrance into the world. We were in the right place at the right time.”
