Little Burstead: Caravan Death Treated As Murder

Essex Police say they are now treating the death of a man in a caravan near Billericay as murder.

26 year-old Sam Garcia was found seriously ill off Clock House Road in Little Burstead at around 4am on Bank Holiday Monday (May6).

He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. His death was initially treated as suspicious.

A post-mortem examination was carried out but failed to establish how Mr Garcia, who is from East Ham, had died. More tests are now being carried out.

Senior Investigating Officer, DCI Mark Hall, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: "At this stage, we are investigating to establish the full facts and treating it as a homicide.

"We are looking to speak with anyone who was at the farm in Little Burstead on that Sunday night or Monday morning. Equally, we would like to hear from those who have information relating to Sam?s death."

Four people have been arrested over the incident and released on bail.
