Billericay: Police Renew Appeal After Fatal Crash

Essex Police are renewing their appeal for information following a fatal crash in Billericay in September.

94-year-old Dorothy Weatherburn died when she was struck by a green Toyota Corolla on the High Street shortly before 1pm on Wednesday, 25 September.

Mrs Weatherburn was taken to Basildon University Hospital, but was later transferred to Royal London Hospital where she sadly died three days later (Saturday, 28 September).

Road policing officers are looking to identify and trace the whereabouts of a number of people who saw the collision and stood at the scene.

In particular, a young woman captured on CCTV is asked to make contact with road policing officers.

She is described as white, in her early-mid 20s, had her hair in a ponytail and was wearing a blue hoodie, light shorts and dark boots.

She appears to have a tattoo on her right ankle.
