Boy Hit By Bus Near Brentwood

A 14 year-old boy has avoided serious injury after he was hit by a double-decker bus near Brentwood.

The collision happened on Brentwood Road in Herongate, near the junction with Hernshaw, at around 3.40pm yesterday.

The boy was taken to Queen's Hospital in Romford with a suspected heard injury but, after being checked out he was only treated for cuts and bruises, he was allowed home.

The bus driver was uninjured.
