Chelmsford: Woman Assaults Shop Assistant

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman wanted in connection with the assault of a Morrisons staff member in Chelmsford.

It happened at the Morrisons Local store on the High Street on Saturday, February 22. 

A woman had become "agitated" and then shouted at a shop assistant before throwing items from a shelf at them. 

Essex Police say the woman was approximately 5ft 5in tall and aged in her 40s. 

Anyone who recognises the woman in the image is asked to call PC Danielle Twaites at Chelmsford Police Station on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
