A man from Clacton has been jailed for 11 years after being found guilty of blackmail.

52 year-old Anthony Still, who targeted his victim for nine years, was arrested at his home on St John's Road in August last year.

He was found guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court after a four-week trial.

Senior Investigating Officer, Det Supt Simon Parkes, said: "This was a complex and sensitive investigation which called upon the skills and experience of many officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

"The victim, who understandably wishes to remain anonymous, had been living under significant duress for many years. He has displayed great courage and trust in the police in coming forward.

"This trust has led to a jury delivering a guilty verdict and I hope this goes some way to encouraging those who find themselves the victim of sensitive crimes to come forward to the police."
