Clacton: Two Arrests Following Stabbing

A man has been stabbed after an argument broke out in a shop in Clacton.

The victim, who is in his 20s and from London, suffered puncture wounds to his buttocks, leg and arm just before 7pm yesterday (Wednesday April 10th).

He was taken to Colchester General Hospital but went home three hours later after treatment.

A 26-year-old man from Kent was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after police stopped a car on the A12 near Kelvedon at about 9.30pm. He remains in custody this morning.

A 16-year-old boy from Clacton was arrested on suspicion of having an offensive weapon when he was stopped by police at Old Road at about 7.30pm. He also remains in custody.

Detectives have appealed for information from anyone who witnessed the attack inside the Premier Shop.

They also want to hear from anyone with information about events leading to the incident or information about a number of other people who were involved in the altercation.
