27 October 2014, 14:19

Police investigating a number of reported incidents of accosting and suspicious behaviour in Clacton have released an efit image of a man they are looking to speak to.

Detectives say they believe the man is local and are asking residents to call with any information they may have.

DI Leighton Hammett said:

"There has not been a reported incident that's been linked to this series since October 18 and additional officers are patrolling the streets of Clacton during the half term week. Parents and children are reminded to stay vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour.”

A 53 year-old man from Colchester arrested by police in connection with the incidents has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until November 23."

Police say if you have any information call 101 or the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or anonymous online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
