Essex: Stars Top Best Hair List

He may have been crowned King of the dance floor now McFly drummer Harry Judd has a new crowning glory - after being honoured for his stylish hairdo.

The Chelmsford drummer has been voted the winner of the best celebrity hair of the year, beating Witham's Olly Murs who came fourth and Joey Essex in sixth.

The annual poll for Brylcreem found axed X Factor wild boy Frankie Cocozza was judged to be the owner of the worst hairstyle of 2011.

Judd - who won Strictly Come Dancing earlier this month - toppled 2010 hair hero One Direction star Harry Styles, who this year was ranked eighth.

Labour leader Ed Miliband proved popular at number seven, while Prime Minister David Cameron was at number six in the worst hairstyle list.

Wayne Rooney's hair transplant has clearly done him no favours as he is ranked third in the "hairdon't'' league, ahead of the Duke of Cambridge and Judd's Strictly colleague Robbie Savage.

A Brylcreem spokesman said: "It's another eclectic and mixed bunch of celebrities in this year's poll, showing the importance of hair in the popularity and style stakes.''
