An Essex driving school wants older drivers to sign up and check they are driving safely.

In Colchester last year, 9 elderly drivers were killed in crashes according to the Department for Transport.

More recently, a teenage girl died after being hit by an 87-year-old driver who lost control of his vehicle.

Cassie McCord was trapped against a shop wall in Head Street in February.

Now, Chris Wagner, who runs the First Choice Driving School, is offering free assessments this month.

He's told Heart: "It's not about naming and shaming anyone, but to make people better and safer drivers."
