Grays: Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man in Grays.

A 35 year-old man was out with friends at the Euro Lounge on Saturday night (March 9). It is believed he was attacked in the car park area near Morrisons in the early hours of Sunday.

He suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Queens Hospital in Romford but later died. His family have been informed. 

Detective Chief Inspector Lucy Robinson, who is leading the murder enquiry, said: "We are very keen to speak to anyone who was in the Euro Lounge on Saturday night into Sunday morning who believes they may have witnessed anything that would be of interest to our investigation.

"We would also like to hear from any witnesses to the assault near Morrisons."

She said anyone with information can contact detectives at Grays on 101 or can give information anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
