Grays: Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Collision

A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Grays.

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to the collision shortly before 7.20 this morning (Tuesday 25 February).

A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident.

Rectory Road is closed in both directions betweek Dock Road and Crescent Avenue and police are advising motorists to avoid the Dock Road area.

Detectives would like to hear from any motorists or pedestrians who were in the area at the time and who witnessed the incident or events leading up to it. They can call Grays CID on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
