It happened at 3.30pm on Friday (18 October) when she was walking home with an older sister.
They were on a pavement at Northbrooks when the three-year-old apparently stepped into the road and was in collision with a blue Peugeot 206 car.
She was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital and treated for cuts and bruises before being allowed home.
Officers would now like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information about events leading to the collision.
Anyone who can help should contact Pc Paul Marks at Chigwell Road Policing office on 101.
