Man charged after stabbing in Essex

A man's been charged after another man was stabbed on an Essex housing estate.

Officers were called to the Trent Road shops in Chelmsford shortly before 1am on Wednesday.

A 35 year old man was taken to hospital for treatment for stab wounds at Broomfield Hospital.

27 year old Jamieson Riches of Brownings Avenue is accused of wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon.
