Man Dies After Crash In South Woodham Ferrers

A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car in South Woodham Ferrers.

The 22-year-old man, who is believed to be from the area, died after his bike collided with a Volkswagen Golf on the A132 yesterday morning (25 July).

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called shortly before 8.25am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was shut for most of the day and police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A 45-year-old man from Wickham Bishops has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He's been taken to Chelmsford Police Station for questioning.
