Man Dies In Basildon Crash
A man has died in a crash on the A127 at Basildon.
Officers were called at about 6.50pm last night, following reports that a car had left the Southend-bound carriageway near the junction with the A129.
The male driver of the vehicle, who is believed to be from south Essex, died at the scene. It is thought that no other vehicles were involved.
The road will be closed for the next few hours while police carry out initial investigations.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to officers should call Essex Police on 101.
