Man Killed In A12 Crash Named

The man who died in a crash on the A12 near Chelmsford at the weekend has been named as 36 year-old Jozef Hrubovcak from Witham.

Police were called to the slip road to the A12 from the A138 at Boreham at around 7.15am on Sunday.

Essex Police said: "A blue Ford Mondeo estate left the road and collided with a road sign before coming to rest across two lanes of the northbound A12. Mr Hrubovcak died at the scene.

"Police have appealed for witnesses who saw what happened or were travelling behind the vehicle on the day.

"It was believed to be in the Chelmer Road North area before driving towards the A12.

"Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call Pc Heidi Lee at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk".

The crash caused a section of the northbound A12 to be closed for several hours.
