A man in his 50s is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after being stabbed in Chelmsford.
Police were contacted by the ambulance service at around 10.15pm yesterday (Wednesday, January 13) after a man had presented himself at an ambulance station with serious injuries.
Essex Police said: "It is thought he had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital and is in a life threatening condition.
"Officers attended an address in Hardy Close and arrested the man last night. It is believed both the suspect and the victim know each other.
"If anyone has information about what happened who hasn’t spoken to police is asked to contact officers at Chelmsford CID on Essex Police 101.
