Man Rescued From River In Colchester

A man has been rescued after falling into the River Colne in Colchester.

Fire crews pulled the man out at around 3pm yesterday (Thursday, 11 February).

Station Commander Lee Palfreyman said: "We found the man clinging onto reeds in extremely cold water.

"Crews did a brilliant job putting their training into practice.

"They quickly got a line around him and pulled him to safety."

The man was then treated by paramedics.
