Man Scarred For Life In Essex Attack

22 July 2011, 06:00

Police are looking for two men after an attack on a man at a pub in Southend.

The 31-year-old confronted them over comments they were making towards a disabled man at the White Horse in Southchurch Boulevard.

The victim was then struck by one of the men with a pint glass, leaving him needing stitches for a 2-inch cut to his jaw and neck.

The attack happened around 10.15pm on Tuesday 7 June 2011.

Dc Richard Walker is investigating the assault. He said: "The victim has been scarred for life by this nasty assault, so I am very keen to trace the suspects.

"Our initial enquiries suggest that the pair were not regulars at the pub but they gave the impression that they may be tradesmen of some description. Do you know who they are? If so, I’d be pleased to hear from you.”
