Man Seriously Injured After Crash In Leigh

A man has suffered "life changing injuries" after a crash involving a motorbike, a bus and two cars in Leigh-on-Sea.

The collision happened on Old Leigh Road at around 4.20pm yesterday.

The 20 year-old, who was riding the motorbike, was taken to Southend Hospital before being transferred to the Royal London Hospital for further treatment.

A 68 year-old woman, who was a passenger on the bus, was treated at Southend Hospital for chest injuries before being discharged.

Police closed the road for eight hours to investigate.

Any witnesses to the collision who have not yet spoken to officers are asked to call the Road Policing Unit at Laindon on 101.
