Man Unconscious In Billericay Was Hit By Car
Police say they believe a man found lying unconscious in a road in Billericay was hit by a car.
The 23 year-old was discovered on Mountnessing Road at around midnight from Friday, 15 April into Saturday.
Investigating officer, Sergeant Myles Hilbery, said: "The man was found lying injured in the road close to the junction with Radford Way by a group of people heading home.
"They helped him back to his house and the following morning he went to hospital to get his injuries seen to.
"Doctors believe his injuries, including a broken knee, are consistent with being hit by a car.
"I urgently need to trace the people who helped our injured man at the time and also went to speak to anyone else who either drove or walked along this road at the relevant time".
Anyone with information can call Sgt Hilbery at Laindon Roads Policing Unit by calling 101.
