Motorcyclist Dies In Southminster

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Southminster.

Police were called to reports a blue Suzuki GSX-R1000 had "left the road" on the B1021 Cripplegate at around 1.30pm yesterday (Sunday, 24 April).

Essex Police said: "The rider, a 36-year-old man from Benfleet, was taken to the Royal London Hospital but later sadly died.

"Police closed the road until 5.40pm while they carried out initial investigations.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk".
