Murder Investigation Launched In Southend

A murder investigation has been launched after two men were found stabbed at a property in Southend.

Police were called to St Anns Road just after 10.30pm yesterday where they found the men with serious injuries.

One was declared dead at the scene and the other has been taken to hospital where he is in a critical condition.

The road has been closed while forensic examinations take place.

DCI Simon Werrett said: "I would urge anybody who has information about this murder to contact the investigation team at Southend. If you were in St Ann's Road between 10pm and 11pm and saw a group of men running please contact us. If you do not wish to speak to the police then contact Crimestoppers."
