One man has died and another has been seriously injured after a crash near Clacton.
Three cars - a white Fiat 500, a purple Vauxhall Agila and a silver Hyundai Getz - collided on the A133 at Weeley Heath at around 7.45am yesterday (Saturday, 20 February).
Two men suffered life-threatening injuries. One was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and the other - a man in his 50s from Colchester - was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he later died.
Two women suffered less serious injuries and were taken to Colchester Hospital.
The road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
A 20-year-old Clacton man from the Fiat was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.
