Three Pedestrians Seriously Hurt In Crashes

A teenager and man have been airlifted to hospital, and another man rushed to hospital, after three different collisions in Essex.

The teenager was airlifted to Queen's Hospital in Romford after a collision on High Street in Harwich on Saturday 9th June.

He had been knocked unconscious after suffering serious head injuries.

Nearly an hour and a half earlier, a man was found lying unconscious in Parkway, Chelmsford after another collision with a car.

He was taken to Broomfield Hospital, also with serious head injuries.

Meanwhile the air ambulance also had to be used after a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian on the A414 on the Hertfordshire/Essex border. 

The collision happened in the early hours on the westbound carriageway heading towards Harlow. 

Road closures were put in place but have since been removed. 

A male pedestrian was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and has now been transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
