Pedestrian Dies After Chelmsford Collision

A pedestrian who suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car in Chelmsford has died in hospital.
The man, who was in his 50s, was flown to the Royal London Hospital after the collision on Pump Lane just after 8am yesterday.
He was in a critical condition and Essex Police say he has now died.
The people in the vehicle were left shaken but uninjured and the road was closed for more than three hours while police investigated.
