Police investigating a shooting in Stanford-le-Hope say they are looking for a motorcyclist who may have seen the suspected shooter.

A man was left with life-changing injuries after being attacked while sitting in his van at the junction of London Road and Stanford Road at 7pm on Tuesday, 10 May.

Essex Police said: "The suspect is believed to have been driving a silver Mercedes C-class saloon, which drove off at speed in the direction of the Orsett Cock roundabout.

"Police are keen to speak to a motorcyclist who was in the area at the time and was passed by a silver Mercedes, as he may have vital information that could assist them.

"Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Dc Michael Ferguson on 101.
