The deaths of two people found inside a car in Chelmsford on Monday, are not being treated as suspicious.
Rayleigh Man Dies After Garden Centre Car Crash
A man and a dog have died after a car crashed and caught fire in Rayleigh last night (Sunday October 2nd).
It's believed the vehicle collided with two parked cars outside a garden centre at Hullbridge Road before igniting.
Police were called by the fire brigade at 9:22pm after members of the public reported seeing a car on fire.
The body of a man, who is believed to be in his 60s and from the Rayleigh area, was found beside the car.
Police are appealing for witnesses and also wish to hear from anyone with information about events leading to the crash. Anyone who can help should contact Sgt Matt Belcher at Laindon Road Policing Unit on 101
