Rayleigh Man Dies After Garden Centre Car Crash

A man and a dog have died after a car crashed and caught fire in Rayleigh last night (Sunday October 2nd).

It's believed the vehicle collided with two parked cars outside a garden centre at Hullbridge Road before igniting.

Police were called by the fire brigade at 9:22pm after members of the public reported seeing a car on fire.

The body of a man, who is believed to be in his 60s and from the Rayleigh area, was found beside the car.
