Shoebury: Man Attacked By Group Of Men

A man has been left with a punctured lung, four broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder after being attacked in Shoebury at the weekend.

The 45 year old victim, who is from the Shoebury area, was on Falcon Way when it happened on Saturday (5th October) evening. A group of about seven men surrounded him before punching, kicking, and stamping on him.

He was taken to Southend Hospital for treatment to his injuries but they're said to not be life-threatening.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who was in the area at about 7.15pm on Saturday 5th October and may have seen this group of men.

Investigating officer, DC Chris Adam, said: "This is an appalling act of violence which has left a man with serious injuries.

"I really need to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or saw these men fleeing the scene."
